Infamous (PS3): Just a little more progress.  Like all open-world GTA-type games, I'm starting to wear down a bit, but to balance it, the storyline is picking up.  A real antagonist is starting to show up, maybe, and Cole and Trish's relationship is recovering (which means she'll die, I'm pretty sure; surprised she's lived this long!).

Letter, The (Wii U): For 50 cents, I had to play this notoriously bad game.  And it was just that.  It's super short (about as long as Gone Home if you do it right, so maybe 10 minutes), and the sparse writing has some silly punctuation and grammar issues to boot.  There's virtually no sound effects, the music is repetitive but mildly catchy, and the graphics are pretty sub-par.  Oh, and the storyline?  Yeah, also about as good as Gone Home's... but I'll give Gone Home this: the plot was pathetic, Deviantart-level super-obvious stuff, but it was better written.

On the other hand, The Letter's incredibly stupid twist at the end was actually quite a bit more surprising than Gone Home's telegraphed yawner of a "twist" that was only a twist if you're not familiar with anything from the last two decades (and even if you aren't, you can still see it coming within the first couple minutes!).

The Letter was apparently made for $377, and the creator has another game in the works.  Here's hopin' it's just as good(?).
