A short day for me. Fell asleep around 10, slept till 1800 when Mom
brought home Arby's dinner, then I made it up for a few more hours
before crashing for a handful more. Got a little in though!
Metroid:
Other M (Wii): Okay, now I see what people are talking about. I made
it to the second cutscene, and Samus was suddenly robbed of her humanity
by being saddled with a personality that amounts to nothing more than
adolescent cliché and stereotype. Urk.
Gameplay is fun
enough at least, made it past the first boss. It's still a pain
transitioning from third to first person, both the jarring switch in
perspectives as well as having to drop one hand from the controller and
change grips with the other, and 3D gameplay using a digital pad is
still awkward.
I'm dreading this storyline, especially
reading up some reviews, but I may still beat the game eventually, it
apparently only clocks in around twelve hours, with a good two of them
being cutscenes.
