World of Warcraft (PC): Did some Twilight Highlands quests and... hit 85! I was behind Tarina, so she hit 85 several quests ahead of me, but I finally managed it myself. There were some interesting missions, including leading some troops and protecting dragonkin, but it was nice to finally hit 85.
Made some new armor for myself, and can continue doing so, just need more Elementium! D'oh!
World of Warcraft 1.12.1 (PC): So I'm playing WoW vanilla on a private server, Feenix. I guess I'll title these entries "WoW 1.12.1"? I really just want to see how WoW was, as well as see the earlier world, in this case, all the Scarlet Crusade stuff. I've actually got another server downloading, a 3.3.5a WotLK server, but I thought it would be neat to see WoW from the very earliest.
Started off on the Midrate server as a human, a Cinnaris clone, and ended up getting dueled immediately by some doofus who lost the first one, won the second, then immediately quit. Okay. Switched over to Highrate, leveled a bit, made it to Goldshire and Stormwind, and then it was just becoming too difficult to keep up playing WoW and 1.12.1 at the same time.
Then I moved on to a female orc, my first Horde play at all, and she looked fairly cute all things considered - and had nice abs! So I floated to Booty Bay, trying to get to Tirisfal Glades to do the opening quests, then decided to come back, only to have some big and bad Alliance gnome kill me a few times en route back. Me, a L2 orc! Oh well.
I got back, did some leveling figuring I'd rather be overpowered after all, I WANT to be strong enough that I don't have to kill any SC, then finally just threw in the towel and hit up the Forsaken.
After making a tolerable female warrior, I started off doing some of the quests, then figured, duh, I might as well level first (the server is like 8x EXP, might even be 15x), then blast through the initial quests. I had some issues, eventually making it through the awkward Undercity after dying and appearing there, and think I hit about L8. Finally found the low-level SC guys - not the LOWEST level, but the missionaries and stuff, so that's cool!
Slowly but surely!
Would be neat if Tam would play, but ah well, we've discussed before, she likes progress and rewards, I like exploring, so I think, having just hit 85, her interest in playing anything but official WoW is about nil.
