Decay Part 3 (360): But before passing out, I hit up the third part in the best thing currently going on in the Xbox Live Indie gaming vein. Part 3 did not disappoint, and it's all starting to come together. Spoilers, of course - but identities are finally getting verified and clarified.
The world you're in is a horrible spirit world full of death, a place where Oswald the White - the insanely creepy persona mysteriously hinted at in the first game. Your wife and daughter are trapped there, communicating where they can, your daughter through the doll, a gift from her grandfather.
Now, the first game implied you had just woken up from your own suicide, and the second game ends with cliffhanger, a spirit telling you *they* are the person you thought yourself to be. It turns out you, your wife and your daughter were victims of Oswald, who only staged the car accident to cover up his crimes. Your father, aware of this in a way not yet explained, committed suicide to allow you to utilize his physical body in Oswald's world.
The game ends with a creepy visage of Oswald - in the flesh this time, not just some ghostly visage like briefly seen.
From a technical standpoint, my biggest complain with Part 3 is that it utilized locations mostly taken from Part 2. Whereas 2 was bigger, longer and entirely new, 3 relied heavily on re-using existing areas, so it lost a little bit in regards to the exploration aspect. But it made up for it with a much more compelling narrative and reveal than either of the previous two parts!
Stoked for Part 4!
World of Warcraft (PC): Did the Argent Tournament and some Icecrown missions, archaeology and mining, and made some new armor for myself - a neat feeling! Organized the inventory with Cinnaris and Cutpurse, as well and take care of old mail across all my characters. Did some Vashj'ir missions till I learned I couldn't use the underwater mount outside of that zone, hit up Uldum with Tam and did some neat Indiana Jones-referencing quests, and then rolled out to check out some wrasslin' and sleep!
