World of Warcraft (PC): Archaeology on Cinnaris, then moved on to Dyneamite where we finished up the Badlands. Got a neat little dragon whelp summon, so I'll have to do the quests on Cinnaris and get a "Delphyne." Then we did most of the Searing Gorge, but really only because we wanted to take on Chambermaid Pillaclencher and get some nice slowfall pillow trinkets! This tall dwarf lady - as tall as a human - was easier to beat this time around than it was on Cinnaris and Tamberly.

Had some frustrations early on as the Wikis - first WoWHead and then WoWWiki - mislead us on just how many quests we'd need to do to get to her. We ended up having to do just about all of them up till that point, including a bunch of allegedly optional ones!

We moved from there to the Blasted Lands and got a couple more levels to get us ready for the Outlands, but before going, I stopped to use "Enslave Demon" for the first time, on six-armed Shivan/Shivarra demon Shahandana. D'oh ho ho.

Did some Outlands from there, making it a few missions into Hellfire Peninsula. Good progress, but at last our triple Refer a Friend bonus ran out, having hit L60. Bummer! Additionally, my newer summons are only for a minute before they poof - so after the Felhunter, unbeknowst to me, I wasn't getting any more permanent minion choices.

"Enslave Demon" is missed potential, alas. You can only control a demon for five minutes, and it gets harder to re-enslave the same demon each successive time, and they also replace your currently summoned minion. So not only are minion choices limited, but Enslave is virtually worthless pre and post-Outlands, and your enslaved demons are only temporary and have their attack powers decreased.

I'd greatly prefer Enslave Demon to work like Hunter's Tame ability, and allow you to get a permanent, renameable minion. That would make it worth something even in the mostly-demon-less pre and post-Outlands areas, and give you a ton more variety. You CAN enslave Elite demons, which is nice, but I'd trade an occasionally super useful ability for a constantly useful and more permanent deal!
